バンクーバーから車で1時間程で行けるチーフ山に登ってきました。写真に見えているのは南山頂です。今回は中央山頂と北山頂を目指しました(下地図参照。地図参考文献:Bryceland, Jack. 103 hikes in southwestern British Columbia, Vancouver, Greystone Books, 1973. ISBN 1550547755)
We climbed the Chief, 1 hour drive away from Vancouver. The peak you see in the photo is the South Peak. We climbed the Centre chief and the North chief this time (please refer to the map below. 勾配度がきつかったです。チーフ山は世界で2番目に大きい花崗岩の単体岩山だそうです。下の写真は豆サイズの母。
It was very steep. The Chief is the second largest granite monolith. The below photo is the bean size mum.
中央山頂に到着!休憩をとる。
We arrived at the Centre Chief. We had a break.

シマリス!
It’s a chipmunk!
一緒に山登りをしたMr. Kはシマリス磁石ということが分かる。それも2匹だし!私もした〜い(T0T)。
We found out that Mr. K who climbed together was a chipmunk magnet. He got TWO chipmunks. I wanna do it (T0T).
できました!至福の時!
I did it! Supreme happiness!
北山頂に向かって出発!
We headed to the North Peak!
中央山頂と北山頂の間のNorth Gully(北谷間)に到着。
We arrived at the North gully between the Centre peak and the North peak.
標高665mの北山頂到着。
We arrived at the North peak which height is 665m.
帰り道も険しかったです。
It was very hard to climb down as well.
雪解けの時期なのでShannon滝はお水がたくさん流れていて迫力がありました。
Since it was snow melting time the Shannon fall looked impressive with lots of water.
Howe Sound Brewingに直行。ここでは地ビールを製造しています。
We headed straight to the Howe Sound Brewing. They make their own beer.

The food was delicious!
これはMrs. Kがハイキング中に拾ったゴミ。全然そんなゴミが落ちているなんて気づかなかったです。Mrs. K尊敬。次回はゴミ拾いがんばります!
This garbage was collected by Mrs. K during her hiking. I didn’t notice any gabages on the ground. Respect to Mrs. K. I will pick up garbages next time!
