母が今朝、送ってくれた写真です。もういなくなっちゃったようです。南に飛び渡るそうです。カンクンとかで、ガアガアやってるんでしょうかね〜。
This is the photo my mum sent me this morning. It looks like they are all gone now. Apparently they fly further south. I imagine they are honking in Cankun or somewhere.
Snow geeceとは白雁（ハクガン）のこと。この時期、シベリアのウランゲリ島からバンクーバー南部のリッチモンドやラドナーへ渡ってくるそうです。長い飛行距離です。母が写真を送ってきてくれました。
Snow geese are Hakugan (haku=white, gan=geese) in Japanese. At this period of year, snow geese come from Wrangel Island in Siberia to the south of Vancouver like Ladner and Richmond. It’s a long flying distance. My mum sent me these pictures.
次の日も送ってきてくれました。She sent me photos next day as well.

cz007画伯の所で紹介されていたFruits and Passionの食器洗剤を早速買って使ってみたよ。１本８ドル(約800円）なので、チピーっとだけ使ってみた。チピーっとなのに、すごい泡立ち。ジンジャーとレモンの匂いで、食器洗いが楽しくなりました。
ある日、私の弟は幼稚園生だった頃、お皿洗いのお手伝いをしたいと言いました。それは良い事だと思い、お手伝いしてもらいました。ちょっと目を離している隙に彼は洗剤１本丸ごと使って流し台は泡の山になっていました。今でも、その泡の中で楽しそうに微笑んでいた彼の笑顔を忘れません。
I went to buy and used the washing liquid from Fruits and Passion, which was introduced by the master of painting, cz007. It was $8, so I used just a tiny bit. Even tiny bit had greater bubbles. It smelt ginger and lemon and it made the washing to be fun.
One day, when he was a kindergarten pupil, my little brother said he wanted to wash up. I thought it was a good thing and we let him help us washing up. When I was looking away, he used whole bottle of a washing liquid and the sink had a mountain of bubbles. I will never forget him smiling in the bubbles as if he was having so much fun.
90年代半ばってCream とかRenaissanceとかのクラブミュージックが流行りましたね。この映画はその時代の超人気DJ が耳が聞こえなくなるお話。可哀想なお話なんですが、コメディなのですごい笑うところがあります。
タイトルにあるPete Tongは実在のイギリスのＤＪでこの映画の主人公のモデルとなっています。彼も映画にチョコッと出てきます。
コメディだけど最後感動しました。トレイラーはこちらで。
In mid 90’s, club music from Cream and Renaissance was very popular. This film is a story about one very popular DJ at that time becomes deaf. It’s a tragic story but it’s a comedy and there are many places to laugh.
Pete Tong in the title, is a real English DJ and a model for the main role of this film. He also appears in the film a little bit.
It’s a comedy film but I was touched at the end. You can watch its trailer here.

This website was built by a company called Ludicorp, which was located in Vancouver (now in San Francisco). Recently the company was bought by Yahoo, so you can conveniently use your Yahoo ID to register to this site. I used to use Yahoo photo but the capacity was small. Flickr allows you to upload 20MB per month for free, which is quite generous. It’s also fun to see other people’s photos like this↓.

2003年にリリースされた、“Down with Love” (邦題：恋は邪魔者)を観た。1960年のニューヨークを舞台にした、ラブ・コメディ。Ewan McGregorの髪型が疑問でしたが、ストーリーは面白いどんでん返しの結末がありました。俳優達が着ているキッチュなドレスと、セットにあるミッドセンチュリーな家具が素敵だった。
We watched a film called “Down with Love” which was released in 2003. It’s a love comedy which set in New York in 1960’s. The hair style of Ewan McGregor is questionable but the story had a good twist at the end. I enjoyed looking at kitschy dresses that actors were wearing and the mid century furniture on the set.

夫がMadgeのニューアルバムをくれた。Madge（マッジ）とはMadonnaのイギリスでのニックネーム。本人はこのニックネームが大嫌いなんだって。Madonnaは４７歳でも綺麗ですね。ニューアルバムの音楽は８０年代っぽくて、すごいかっこいいです。こちら (MadonnaのHP、写真が素敵！）で試聴できます。
夫が言うには、プロデューサーのStuart Priceが良いらしい。彼はZoot Womanというバンドもやっている。彼らのアルバムを聴いてみたら、好きになった。ダウンタウンで一番大きいお店にアルバムを買いに行ったけど、置いてなかった。Zulu Recordsに買いに行くしかないな。こちらで試聴できます。
夫のアイスホッケーの試合見に行ってきま〜す。
My husband bought me Madge’s new album. Madge is British nick name for Madonna. She hates this nickname. Madonna is beautiful even she is 47. The music in the new album is like 80’s music and pretty cool. You can listen to it here (at Madonna’s site, the front page is cool).
According to my husband, the producer, Stuart Price is good. He is in a band called Zoot Woman. I listened to their album, and I really like it. I went to the biggest CD shop in downtown but they didn’t have it. I have to go to Zulu Records to buy it. You can listen to it here.

朝起きると、霧の中に太陽が見えました。When I got up this morning, I saw the sun through the fog.
すると霧は消え、青空が見えてきました。Then the fog disapeared and the blue sky appeared.
眩しい太陽の光を久しぶりに見ました。I have not seen the bright sun light for a long time.
今日はSavory Coastという結構最近ロブソンにオープンしたレストランに行きました。ポテトのラビオリサラダとか、ラムソーセージのパスタを食べました。でもあんまり、感動しませんでした。
I went to a restaurant called Savory Coast which recently opened on Robson. I had potato skin ravioli salad and lamb sausage pasta, but I wasn’t impressed.
感動したのは、このワイン！ウマかったです。I was impressed with this wine though! Very good.
デザートメニューに、シガーメニューがありました。
The cigar menu was inside the dessert menu.
夕方には虹が見えました。
I saw the big rainbow in the late afternoon.
