We watched the film which was recommended by my husband’s parents. The film was set in 1949, a music teacher, Clément Mathieu (right front of the photo), started to work as a supervisor of a boys’ boarding school for orphans and problematic children. The children were restrained under strict supervision and physical punishment. Clément Mathieu considered to teach the children joy of music. He made a choir and practiced music in their spare time. Both the teacher and the children were drugged into the attraction of chorus and the distance between them got closer and closer. The children’s voices were wonderful and the story had laughs and a moving end. It purified my soul.

知ってる知ってるこの映画！ハリウッド映画以外ほとんど
注目されない台湾でもこの映画は結構長い間上映されてた
みたい。それにサントラ盤も結構売れてるみたいよ。
中国語タイトルは「放牛班的春天」といいます。「放牛班」
というのは「お勉強できない子供のクラス」という意味
やねん。ずっと気になっててDVD買おうかなぁと思って
先日CD屋さんで眺めてました。この絵だけでも惹かれる
よなぁ。よし、やっぱDVD買うわ。ああ、でもまたフランス
映画の中国語字幕かぁ～。

サントラ盤も人気やったらしい。それにしても
中国語になったら、すごい漢字になるねんな。
放牛班はお勉強できない子供っちゅう意味なのか。笑。
