今日は久しぶりの快晴で素晴らしい朝です。先日、友達に薦めらていた Little Miss Sunshineを観ました。ニューメキシコ州に各自問題を抱える家族がいます。そこへ、長女のオリーブに美少女コンテスト、「リトルミスサンシャイン」への招待が届きます。コンテスト会場はカリフォルニア。1800キロの道のりを家族全員でボロボロバンで行くことになりました。その旅を描いたコメディドラマ。この映画、好きな俳優がたくさん出ています。Greg Kinnear, Steve Carell, Alan Arkinなどなど。
ウィキペディアによると、この映画はシドニー映画祭で評判になり、映画祭始まって以来の最高額１億ドルで、配給権利がFox Searchlight Picturesに売られました。そのせいか、この映画は今年のアカデミー賞のベスト映画賞、ベスト脚本賞にノミネートされています。またAlan Arkinは助演男優、少女オリーブ役を好演したAbigail Breslinも助演女優賞にノミネートされています。同カテゴリーで日本人でノミネートされている菊池凛子との戦いですね。暖かい笑いが欲しいなと思った時、この映画お勧めです。トレイラーはこちら。
We haven’t had such beautiful morning like today for ages. We watched Little Miss Sunshine the other day which was recommended by our friends. A family which each member has own problems was living in somewhere in New Mexico. Then, an invitation for a beauty contest, “Little Miss Sunshine” arrives to the little daughter, Olive. The contest is held in California. All of the members of the family decided to go there and headed for a 1000 miles journey by a worn out van. This film is a comedy drama which describes the journey. There are many favourite actors in this film, Greg Kinnear, Steve Carell, Alan Arkin, etc.
According to Wikipedia, this film got a very good reputation in Sydney film festival and its distribution right was sold to Fox Searchlight Pictures for $10 million which was the highest deal since the festival started. Maybe because of this, this film is nominated for this year’s Academy – Best picture and Best Screenplay. Also Alan Arkin is nominated for Best supporting actor and Abigail Breslin who performed Olive very well is for Best supporting actress. She is going to compete with a Japanese actress, Rinko Kikuchi who is nominated in the same category. I recommend this film when you seek for some warm laughs. You can see its trailer here.

見たいぃ～っ！もうこのポスターだけで”見たいっ！”と思ったよ。ロードムービーって好きやわぁ私。アカデミー賞楽しみやね。菊池凛子にも頑張って欲しい！トレイラーを見て、このGregさん、ほんまにカトちゃんかと思うくらいどの角度から見ても似てると思ったわ。うちの近所に「加藤茶」って名前のお茶屋さんがあります（笑）。仕事、峠を越えました。ホッ。
☆madam-yangはん、仕事の峠越えおめでとう！Greg Kinnearが加藤茶に似てるって共感してくれて、ごっつ嬉しい！As good as it gets（邦題調べたら、「恋愛小説家」やった。）みてから、ずっと一人で思っててん。そのお茶屋さんおもろすぎやし。もしお店に行ったら、「加藤茶ください。」って言ってみてな。
菊池凛子ってバベルに出てたそうで、その映画まだ観てないねんけど、めちゃ迫力のある演技やったらしいね。服装もいつも過激でいいね。がんばってほしい。
この映画、観てないんですよ。でもとってもいいストーリーみたいですね。アカデミー授賞式までにぜひ観なくちゃと思っています（Chilcoさん、G.Kinnearが好きとは渋いわ～）。
