リッチモンド市ではナイトマーケットが夏の間、毎週末開かれる。友人がお店を開いているので、手伝いに行った。リッチモンド市はバンクーバー市の南に位置し、人口は１７万人。４０％が中国人とあるだけに、お店をやっている人、お客さんもほとんどが東洋人だった。　 The night market in Richmond is open every weekend during summer. バンクーバーは週末夏のような天気でした。 This weekend was like summer in Vancouver. 鷺（サギ）さんも人間さんと一緒に日向ぼっこ。 A heron was sun bathing with human beings. ホットドッグスタンドは大繁盛！ The hot dog stand was having a good business day. パブも大繁盛！ This pub was having a good business day as well!

こないだ、ある居酒屋で飲んでたら、店の前に車を停めた白髪の男性がいた。 この人だった！ We were drinking in a pub the other day and a man with white hair parked in front of the pub. It was him! 家に帰る途中、発見したものを二つ。バンクーバーにはLululemonというヨガウェアブランドがあって、とても流行っています。外国にも店舗を増やしているようで、オーストラリアやカリフォルニア、なんと東京にもあります。バンクーバーのRobson通りのお店は女の子達で混雑していますが、その１０軒隣くらいに、似たような店がオープンしました。 Two things that I found on the way home recently. 第２１回Vancouver Sun Run 10KMマラソンに出た。Sun Runは北米で２番目に大きな１０ＫＭマラソンで、今日も４万７千人が集まった。去年、私の会社でチームを結成し、今年は２度目の出場となった。嬉しいことに、今年はオフィススタッフの約半数が、チームに参加した。 I participated in the 21st Vancouver Sun Run 10km marathon.
